We asked one of our tenants, Phil Barley of Theatre Digs Booker, why he chose to base his business at Cromford Creative and how he has found the experience:

Moving from London to Derbyshire 4 years ago I was looking for office space in the area and was struggling to find any.
I bought a house and converted the garage into an office. I then took my first interim from Derby Uni, but obviously working from a garage was not ideal.
The newly renovated Cromford Creative was recommended to me by a Business Coach who herself was coworking there. After taking a tour and being very impressed with the office spaces, I decided to take a coworking desk for a couple of days a week.
Soon after, I went on to a fixed desk as well as a hot desk, allowing me to work from Cromford Creative on a permanent basis.
I attended the coworking breakfast meetings, and liked being part of the business community and all that it had to offer.
When a small office became available I jumped at the chance, and took on another Derby Uni interim (part time initially but now full time). I was only in that office for 6 months and then realised the need for a bigger office, so I changed again. More staff were employed and hence the need for even more office space.
I now have two offices, with 7 staff, and will be employing a few more by the end of the year.
What an amazing journey at Cromford Creative it has been so far. I can only foresee the business going from strength to strength in the future.
